Day 1: Mombasa to Nairobi and Masai Mara

• Morning Arrival at SGR Nairobi Terminus:
  Arrive in Nairobi early morning via the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to the Kairi Travels Office for a briefing.
• Journey to Masai Mara:
  After the briefing, continue your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve, a scenic drive of approximately 5 hours.
  Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at a viewpoint to take photos of the spectacular landscape and shop for traditional handmade crafts while learning about the myths and stories of the valley’s formation.
• Arrival at Masai Mara:
  Arrive at Maasai Mara and check into your safari lodge or camp.
  If you’re staying with Kairi Travels, you’ll be at Rhino Tourist Camp, a budget-friendly camp near the Oloolaimutia Gate of Masai Mara.
• Lunch and Relaxation:
  After check-in, savor a delicious lunch. Enjoy the amenities of the lodge or camp and spend some time relaxing before dinner.
• Dinner and Overnight:
  As the day ends, enjoy dinner at the camp or lodge and rest in preparation for the following day’s adventure.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day Game Drives

• Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari:
  Start your day early with an optional hot air balloon safari (advance booking required). Enjoy panoramic views of the Mara plains and wildlife from above, followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
• Morning Game Drive:
  After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive with your guide. Explore the reserve and focus on the areas surrounding the Mara River, where seasonal migrations of wildebeests, zebras, and other animals take place.
• Picnic Lunch:
  Take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness as you relax before the afternoon’s exploration.
• Afternoon Game Drive:
  Continue with your afternoon game drive. Visit other prime spots for wildlife viewing and photography. Watch for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, especially during their hunts.
• Return to the Lodge/Camp:
  After the game drive, return to the camp or lodge to freshen up and enjoy a well-prepared dinner. Relax under the stars, recounting the day’s wildlife adventures.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi

• Morning at Masai Mara:
  Start the day with a hearty breakfast and check out of your lodge or camp. Before departing, there is an option to visit a Maasai Cultural Village to experience and learn about the community’s rich traditions and way of life.
• Return Journey to Nairobi:
  Begin your drive back to Nairobi, with a stopover for lunch at a carefully selected restaurant.
• Drop-off:
  Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your Masai Mara adventure.
